Crust

Just eating a sandwich with Maddie. (yes, i know it is only 1000am, but i'm pregnant and it sounded good)

Maddie started peeling off the crust. So I begin to think, "ok, maddie isn't a crust eater"

Well, I help her out and peel the crust.

Maddie then picks up the crust, eats it and walks away. I eat the rest of her crust-less sandwich. We are a perfect match.

I thought it was the crust that people didn't like.

Well, she is half Daniel's child.

Privacy

I don't think I've experienced privacy in the bathroom with Maddie since she has been born. ( i do close the door when Daniel is around)

We have been Potty Training for 3 weeks and she has decided that she needs to close door for privacy.

Seriously.............

Madeline

Just wanted to take some time to chat about Maddie...............................

She amuses me everyday. I never know what she'll do or say these days.

  • Poop and Pee- is on of her favorite things to talk about and it seems it is always at dinner time.
  • Living with her Maddie is like living in a musical. I never what song she'll bust out belching out. Right now Annie is a favorite and "I love you Tomorrow" is sung all the time. I'm trying to get this on video, but she quits once she see me.
  • Salad- she would eat it everyday. All separate and nothing mixed. (she gets this from her Daddy)Mad will be a vegetarian one day.
  • Random conversation with family member that aren't here or on the phone with her. She is very bossy with them on the phone. (don't know where she got the bossy/sassiness from).
  • Dresses- she is going through a dress phase. Wants to wear on everyday and thinks it need to be accessorized by her pink cowboy boots.
  • New favorite Disney Princess- Tiana.
  • Daddy can't tell her "no" and she knows it. If I say "no" she runs to Daddy.
  • Baby Brother- she knows something is going on and is very curious. She likes to talk to my belly button and listen to the heart beat. She likes looking through is clothes and toys. We'll she how she does once JD is here.

Holiday Recap

FYI- this is going to be long- like a really bad run on sentence.

Christmas Season 2009 in the Bessada House- was AWESOME!!!! ( and I'm glad it is over)

Maddie was so much fun and excited about everything. She loved the lights, the songs, the visits with family, the presents and all the yummy Christmas treats (the treats were my favorite part). Mad became really good at singing Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer and Jingle Bells. She is still singing theses songs and doesn't understand that Christmas is over and Santa is broke. Her favorite presents were her light-up Cindrella high-heels (thanks, Mattie) and her battery operated blue car (thanks Uncle Kris)
We begun potty training over the Break. Maddie is a rock star and has caught on very good. We still have accidents during the day- but she is going on her own and pretty regularly. She likes to change her big girl panties five thousand times a day. Thank God, we have a lot. But Mommy feel like she has to do a special load of wash every few days to make sure we enough big girl panties to go around. I love to hear her ask Daniel if he wears Big Girl Panties and to hear her response. She gets mad when he says "No". Then she asks if he wears Big BOY Panties.

Daniel and I also got to enjoy the holidays. We just really enjoyed our time with family and friends. But, he got me the most amazing gift. My Shark Steam Cleaner. It is awesome and everyone should own one. It is exactly what my OCD/clean-freak self needed. (yes, people. I can admit it)

New Years Eve- what a way to ring in the New Year. We went to a friend's party. Maddie came along to have a slumber party with her future husband. She was a booger and won't go to sleep. So I feel like me and Daniel missed 1/2 the party. But, we did get to ring in the New Year together. Oh- being sober sucked. I'm a fun drunk- people. Maybe next year.......

Jake Daniel- is now longer being neglected. The Holidays are over and now to concentrate on him. I made my first purchase for him on New Year's Day. He now has non-girly bedding. I like it and am ready to get the room painted. He also has some cute outfits that I have purchased. My friend, Molly, has helped me realize that boy clothing doesn't have to be boring or gay. Molly has great taste. She has given Jake Daniel a ton of cute, cute stuff. Daniel still can't get over the Snowman Vans. I don't even know why I'm buying him clothes. Between Molly, my sister, sister-in-law and other hand me downs- this kid is going to be styling.
Daniel and I getting really excited about Jake Daniel. Daniel gave me the weekly countdown yesterday and it freaked me out. But, I took some deep breaths and will be fine.

Pregnancy update- I feel huge. I don't remember being this big at this point with Maddie. It's all belly. He is carrying low and killing my back. Craving have been crazy. I have eaten so many Clementines and Strawberries in the last few weeks. I can't enough Diet Coke. I don't want ice water except at night time when I'm going to bed. French fries are still my friend. I love all the salty varieties. Feta cheese and pita bread- Yummy!!!! I can eat this everyday. Hot stuff- bring it on. This Hot Momma wants it HOT!!!!! Maddie loves singing to the baby and telling him secrets. (Daniel and I realized along time ago that Maddie is smarter than us. Now we are about to have 2 that are smarter than us)

Told you this would be long and all over the board. Enjoy!!!!

Update on B2 and carrying B2

As a friend of my mine pointed out today, I have been sucking on blogging about B2. I don't want him to look back and think his Mommy sucks for forgetting about him.

Yes, I said HIM. B2 is a Boy. Now, I have to learn about little boys, once I think I have little girls figured out.

At my 20 week appointment, Daniel, Maddie and I went to the doctor. (I wanted Maddie to share in this experience and feel apart of this) Maddie was excited about sitting next to Mommy on the table and putting the warm jelly on Mommy's belly. The technician looks around, baby looks fine, and then she tells us it is a boy. I'm crying full of emotion, Daniel is shocked (he thought it was a girl and wanted proof it was a boy. the little wee wee sticking out wasn't proof enough.) Poor Maddie, she just wanted to know what was wrong with Mommy.

We are excited little booger. He has a name -Jakob Daniel. We were going to call him Jake or JD. But Maddie has named him Jake Daniel- which I love.

Maddie- I think she would be fine with puppies (just like my friend LAB). If you ask her, she'll say "Baby Sista, Jake Daniel". She doesn't know the difference between sister and brother.

New pregnancy updates-

  • Heartburn has kicked in. I knew that I couldn't have a Bessada without heartburn/hair, especially now that it is a boy.
  • My ribs hurts- only on the right side and only at night. I think this little booger likes to dig his feet in my ribs. Stop it, JD. It's not nice.
  • Poop (TMI, I know) I just want to go normally. Thankfully, I'm not having to go to the extremes I had to with Maddie. JD, I do thank you for this.
  • Baby Boy Bedding- it sucks. I just want stripes or something. No boats, stars, animals, or footballs. Just plain, please.
  • Boy clothes, ok- I'm trying to get excited about it. It's not as exciting as the girly stuff.
  • Cravings- I wish you were consistant, for Daniel's sake. At least you kick in, when he is driving home for work.

B2.................And 20 weeks Along

Ok- so, I'm not mad at God anymore. He has decided to bless me with another child, FINALLY! So, I get to hang on the diaper bag a little longer. God likes to test my patience- he has already done it once with Maddie and did it again with B2. Please God- I'll be good and please don't do it again. I'm already married to Daniel and that in itself takes alot of patience. (I do love Daniel dearly)

(Yes, B2 is the current name of baby in my belly until we find out what it is)

Yes, I am a bad mommy. This is the first time I'm blogging about B2 and sharing my experience with the internet world.

We are super excited and scared to death. I know we can manage 2, people do it every day. It is just managing another Bessada/Kostreba Baby.

We do find out in 5 days what I am carrying. Maddie thinks it is a puppy and has no interest in moving thing in Mommy's Belly. I have 20 more weeks to prepare and to get her ready. I think she will do fine.
Daniel and I want another girl. Daniel thinks it is a girl and I think it is a boy. One of us will be right. I just think Daniel will have to start drinking hard liquor again if it is a girl.

Pregnancy observations over the last 20 weeks:

The cravings are crazy. With Maddie, I could have eaten the same 5 things for 9 months straight. B2- I have to have it when I want it. I can't count the number of times Daniel had already been sent out of the house to get something.
Hot stuff- I can't eat it hot enough.
Sleeping sucks. I can't get comfortable- also not a problem with Maddie.
Ice cold water and ice- my water can't be cold enough.
Diet Coke- I want to drink it all the time. But, don't' allow myself for obvious reasons.
I'm at the same weigh at the same time as I was with Maddie. Which, means I'll get huge and not gain too much weight.
Cereal- I have 7 boxes in my pantry. None of which Daniel likes. Pregnancy makes me crave cereal. I eat it 3 times a day and Maddie loves it.
I'm 10 times more emotional. I cry at everything. I am refusing to watch any Hallmark or Publix commercial this holiday season.
Back rubs- I can't get Daniel to give me enough of them, with Maddie it was foot rubs. Must have been because of the heels I would wear to work.
Heartburn- I have had none. I have a huge worry that I'm carrying a Bessada and it is going to come out bald.

Stay tuned and I will soon know the sex of this next bundle of joy!

First day of School

Ok- so I decided Maddie was going to Pre-School. She is a social butterfly and a sponge for knowledge. I had been with her for 2 years trying to teach her things and knew it was time for someone else to educate my child.

Preparations for Pre-School-

Back to school shopping. Even at almost 2, she needed the perfect outfit to wear. She had to make a good first impression. I could have shopped for days, but Daniel had to cut me off.

We talked to Maddie about school, meeting new friends and about her teachers. I also was trying to prepare myself emotionally. (I have left Maddie over night and with sitters before. So this should have been easy.

Night before school-

Maddie got a bath and her hair blow dried (she loves this). We laid out her clothes and she tells me what she wants for breakfast the next day.

First day of School-

We are all up and dressed. Maddie is looking a precious little princess and seems to be excited about school. Daniel comes with me or drop Maddie off for emotional support. As we walk her into school- I lose it. I am already crying, luckily Maddie isn't even looking at me. We get to her classroom, the teacher takes Maddie and says, "Thanks Daniel" I guess she didn't want me to cry anymore. Maddie cried a little, but I found out it didn't last long once she got to do Spin Art. So, I continue to cry my way out of Pre-School with all the other Mommies.

The 3 hours away from Maddie were the longest 3 hours. I was ready to see her and see how her day went.

I pick her up and she is super excited to see me. She babble the whole way home. I think she was so excited words weren't coming out.

Moral of the story- I don't know how I'm ever going to make it through Kindergarten.
