Handbags to Diaper Bags

I couldn't resist..................

I am usually one of those people that likes to decorate for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving.

Well, this year I needed an extra "Get in the Christmas Spirit" kick in the pants. I was feeling a little scrooge-ish this year and don't know why. Anyway, I just finished decorating my house- shy of decorating the tree (which we haven't purchased yet and will be purchased and decorated by the time we go to bed Friday night.

Here is how it happened............

I convinced Daniel to help me get the Christmas stuff down from the attic last Saturday. Why? I have too much of it and it is freaking heavy. But, I had to promise no decorating until Wednesday. (I was shipping Maddie off to the sitters so I could have uninterrupted decorating time. Plus, I wanted to do some shopping on Friday.)

That didn't happen, the waiting until Wednesday. Maddie took the first good nap all week yesterday and I had already cleaned the house and had some time on my hands. (I need a break from reading Eclipse. I'm fighting with Edward at the moment) I opened the door to the guest bedroom, that was housing all my Christmas decorations. It was calling my name "Lelok, please get us out of the boxes."

Well, I did it and I'm done! But, looking from the outside you would never know I had already decorated. I am going to wait until Friday to get the wreath on the door. I don't want everyone to know how crazy I am.

Accessories

Ok- I did have a hard time giving up my handbags. But I have found and new love- Diaper Bags. They can be cute and very stylish. I love all the trendy colors and styles that they come in. They can also cost the same as a nice handbag. Too bad for Daniel when he sees the credit card bill and asks "Why?" or "Is that really necessary, Lelok?"

Anyway- Maddie has taken over my love for handbags. I have recently had to pull out her heavy winter coat- which has a matching purse with it. She loves the purse so much that............

She wanted to sleep with it tonight. When I tired to take it away, she cried.

Sorry, Daniel. You are going to have your hands full.

Milo and Otis

Remember this Movie............It was one of my favorites as a child. I loved how the dog and cat were BFF despite their difference in appearance and in likes.
I now live my own Milo and Otis movie. Maddie and Cookie (my 9 year old Min Pin) are BFF.
Cookie was OUR ONLY BABY for about 7 years before Maddie came along. She got all of our attention and was a pampered pouch.

Daniel and wondered how Miss Cookie was going to be with a new little one in HER house.

Well, Maddie has been in Cookie's life for a year and.................

As you can see Maddie and Cookie are Best Buddies. Being different makes no difference to these two. They love on each other some days and fight on others.
